The maps show a road system as it is now and the proposed changes in future to reduce the number of accidents. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words
Given are the two maps delineating the transformations of the road system of a typical area in an upcoming period for the diminution of traffic accidents. It is perceptible that the region experiences moderate alterations with the presence of roundabout along with the addition of several facilities.
Along from north to south is the main street-Forest Road divides this region into two distinct areas. When it comes to the east side of the main road, there are accident hotpots at the junction of City Road and Forest Road, and at northern supermarket access in the middle of City Road. It is predicted that the appearance of a roundabout and the leading road to the supermarket from the roundabout instead respectively can minimize traffic crashes.
Regarding the other side of the mentioned region, as accidents happen frequently at the intersection of Forest Road and Low Lane in the south, Low Lane will be expanded to avoid them. City Road elongates and creates with Low Lane the interchange which is another accident-prone area. Thus, a set of traffic lights is estimated to install to control the traffic. According to the plan, houses along Lane Low and school at the further northest by Low Lane stay unchanged while the serpentine street of City Road and Forest may be turned into straightening.
