The diagram shows the life cycle of the honey bee
The given diagram illustrates the different stages in the life cycle of the honey bee.
In general, the life cycle usually lasts from 34 to 36 days and it consists of five main stages, from egg to mature adult insect.
The life cycle begins when the female honey bees lay eggs. They often lay about 1 or 2 eggs every three days. After nine or ten days the eggs will hatch and the nymphs will appear.
In the third stage of development, the nymph continues to grow and changes its skins three times. The first moult lasts for five days and the second takes a week. Finally, the young adult honey bee emerges from the final moult, which last for 9 days. After this, the young adult will need four more days in order to fully mature. Then the female will continue to lay eggs and the cycle will repeat again.
