Write a letter to the family to introduce yourself. In your letter,
say when and how you will be arriving
tell the family a little about yourself
ask about the type of food that the family eats
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Greene,
My name is Gabriel Brown and I am going to be your tenant for the next couple of months. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to your family.
Firstly, I have enrolled for a six month French course which is expected to commence on 5th of December. I wanted to attend the orientation day which is why I have booked my flight for 2nd of that month. I will be arriving late at night and I have already booked an Uber so as to not be a burden on you people.
Talking about myself, I hail from a small town and I love to explore new places and cultures. During my stay, I would mostly be out for my studies or roaming around the city, so, I would be out of your sight most of the time. I am ambivert by nature because of this it takes me some time to open up to people.
Lastly, I wanted to know about the type of food preferred by your family. Do you people eat a lot of meat? If so, I am fine with it but I would like to request you to inform me in advance so that I can arrange for my meal.
Hoping to meet the whole family soon.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. Brown
