The line graph illustrates numerical data of a report in 2008 about energy consumption in the USA since 1980 with prospective plans until 2030. Overall, petrol and oil increased dramatically and so did the coal, whereas the other ones: natural gas, nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower energies fluctuated and remained unchanged.
As it can be seen, pertrol and oil were at the lowest point in 1985 (a little higher than 30%) and from then it began to go up remarkably proved by reaching a peak at approximately 45% in 2020 and predicted to increase continually to the highest: 50%. Similarly, the coal’s energy consumption in 2020 was 11% more higher than it was in the year 1980. Besides, it is going to go upward in the future to nearly 31%. In contrast, the usage of natural gas went upward and downward a lot which demonstrated by 20% in 1980 to 24% in 2000 then decreased to 22% ten years later but it will remain steady as it was in 2015 till now. The hydropower tended to go up and down: 4% in 2005 to 2% in 2015 and have the same tendency to remain unchanged. However, nuclear and solar/ wind power were at 4% in 1980 and increase more and more in the previous years as well as it will the future.
