The line graph depicts the energy consumption in the USA since 1980 projected until 2030. The report was published in 2008. Generally the USA consumes petrol and oil the most and the least are the nuclear, solar/wind, and hydro power. starting strong with 35 quadrillion units for its usage, and growing steadily over the decades while there have shown a slight decrease in 1985 and 1995. The graph suggest the projection for 2030 is approximately reach to 50 quadrillion units.
As for the coal and natural gas, they also experiencing fluctuative number in the consumption between 16 and 25 quadrillion units. The prediction for the natural gas in 2030 looks very steady at 25 quadrillion units starting from the year 2015. However for coal, the report suggest the predicted consumption in 2030 is approximately 30 quadrillion units.
Nuclear, solar/wind, and hydro power are the least of energy resources that is consume by the USA starting at around the 3 quadrillion usage. For hydro power and solar/wind they experiencing the fluctuation in the 1990s up until 2005, while for nuclear it has risen steadily since the 1980. Nuclear and solar/wind energy is predicted to have usage up to 5 and 7 quadrillion units by the 2030, as for hydro power it is predicted to remain steady at 3 quadrillion units.
