Firstly, as from the graph depicts, there is great increase in use of refrigerators if we compare from 1920 to 2019. Diagram shows that, percentage of households owning refrigerators in 1920 were 0 whereas in 2019 its 100%, implying every common home owns fridge.
Secondly, coming to percentage of families who owns washing machine in 1920 was 40% which got raised to 75% in 2019. And not lastly, numbers of houses owning a vacuum cleaner have also increased sharply. In 1920, percentage of household who are owners of a vacuum cleaner was 30, whereas this umber is 100% in 2019. This implies no one can live without a vacuum cleaner in 2019.
This exponential spike in ownership of electrical appliances directly effect the number of hours people spend in house chores. By use of second graph, we can clearly visualize, how duration of housework of people have reduced from 50 hours per week in 1920 to 10 hours per week in 2019.
