The line graph demonstrates the variation in three types of crime in New Port city between 2003 and 2012.
We can observe that the burglary rate declined dramatically, while the rate of car theft dropped slightly, and the number of robberies remained stable.
To begin with, in 2003, the number of burglaries led the way with about 3400 cases, far superior to car theft rates of approximately 2750 and robbery at just above 500. Over the next four years, the figures for burglary decreased considerably to more than 1500. And the robbery and car theft were the same as the burglary about 500 and 2000 cases, respectively.
From this point onward, the period from 2008 to 2010 witnessed a rise of 500 in car theft. At the same time, burglary and robbery rates seem to stay constant. That continued to take place between 2010 and 2012. The proportion of car theft has a downward trend at the end of the period.
