The given line graph illustrates the number of audiences watching four different channels in 2010.
Overall, it is obvious that while the 1 pm news witnessed a period of stability, the programme “6 pm” fluctuated throughout the year. In addition, the 9 pm and 11 pm news both saw a fluctuation, however, these tv channels changed opposite.
Looking at the line graph to give more details, the figure for the 6 pm news was the highest point with 4.9 million, then it declined slightly to 1 million in March. After that it continued vacillating until hit a low of roughly 3.2 million. Moreover, The channel “9:30 pm” had a negligible rise in TV news viewing figures from 3.1 million to 3.9 million in May before it bottomed out with nearly 1 million in August. “11pm”, the latest programme introduced in May, started with the smallest audience and then it escalated to 4 million in August.
In terms of the period time after August, the 6 pm news grew to 4 million then witnessed a drop from 4 million to 3.2 million; nevertheless, it still was on the highest position in the chart. Additionally, the figure for viewers watching 9:30 pm increased to 3 million and became the second preferer programme in 2010. After reaching a peak in August, the number of 11 pm’s watchers fell sharply to 1 million. During the time frame, 1 pm’s audiences experienced a period of stagnation.
