Overall, students in this university who are able to speak English only account for the highest percentage, and there were slight increase after ten years. Meanwhile, the proportion of student who can speak French and Spanish only decreased. Another key feature is that German speakers were reported the lower number and unchanged over time.
In 2000, nearly a third of British students in this university were capable of using their mother tongue only, followed by 20% who could speak Spanish. The percentage of students using French and other language were equal, at 15%. This figure for bilingual students or German users was the same rate, at 10%, which is the lowest of total students.
After a decade, English-speaking still dominated in this university, which 35% of students using this language only. Spanish and French users, however, occupied lower percentages in 2010, with its figure declined by 5% each. Conversely, the year 2010 witnessed a decrease of 5% in the proportion of another or two other language speakers. Only the number of German speakers stayed static, still at 10%.
