Recently, some office workers have begun to work from home instead of commuting to an office each day, and this idea is growing in popularity.
What, in your opinion, are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend of working from home?
While the covid-19 is spreading, almost companies have to allow staffs to work from home to run their business. After the pandemic, people debate whether companies should keep running work from home, and it is better than go to an office.
My opinion, we should apply work from home pattern to our companies. One signature of human is adaption, in the pandemic, we learned that work from home gives us flexible working time and places. It helps to save cost for running business, such as electric bills, office bills, parking,…; prevent spreading of some diseases, and save moving time to arrive to the office. People love to work from home because they feel comfortable at their home, the distance between enjoying life and working is closer, therefore, they could even finish job more efficient.
But we should do slowly, it is a new working style, we need time to learn and build a good management, some companies apply hybrid pattern first, staffs only need to go to office in 1-2 days a week, so they can learn challenges and resolve them. It requires staffs must have good responsibility, productivity and concentration when work remotely, because they could get distracted any time as result of flexibility. The top challenge is to keep good communication in team, the staff needs to handle their internet, quite place for meeting, camera, headphone,…
Eventually, working remotely is a trend now, everyone should try it and feel whether fits to their style, because more comfortable will bring more efficiency in job, we need to figure out the good way to work for ourselves. The companies should apply work from home slowly, to keep business running smoothly, and don’t get hurt because of hurry.
