Some people think that certain old buildings are more worth preserving than the other ones. Which types of old buildings should be preserved? Do you think that the advantages of preserving these old buildings outweigh the disadvantages?
It is observed that old buildings should be more preserved than the other one. In my view, some old buildings such as: museum, art or historical buildings should be re-build and preserved. This deed has more merits than drawbacks.
Firstly, types of old buildings have a significant educational role to support students or foreign tourists with more knowledge and information about history. Almost all these buildings take place in the center area and show their beauty with the beauty of ancient and unique architecture. Some old buildings can still operate commercially and serve all residents and visitors like Ho Chi Minh Theater or Duc Ba Church. However, with plenty of bad conditions affecting old buildings and impacting deterioration, the government should make a plan to recover these old buildings to make them artistically and valuable again.
Secondly, preserving these buildings bring about more upsides than downsides. Although the costs of rebuilding them can be costly, the spiritual and tourism values of them are far more significant. In Ho Chi Minh City, Independence Palace or Duc Ba Church are prominent tourist attractions which attract travelers to pay them a visit. In addition, those spots are also places for school’s field trips in history class, which show patriotism and national pride to students. To me, preserving these destinations is worth any costs that may occur.
In conclusion, old buildings with historical values are worth preserving, and this practice is absolutely advantageous to me.
