The chart below shows the water levels in reservoirs of 6 cities in Australia in October 2009 and 2010.
The bar chart given compares and contrasts the levels of water in reservoirs of six different Australian countries in October 2009 and 2010. In can be clearly seen that four out of six cities witnessed an upward trend while Darwin experienced a decrease and Brisbane remained the same in the water levels. Moreover, the highest maximum percentage was recoreded in Canberra in both years.
In October 2009, there was roughly 80% of water stored in reservoirs in both Sydney and Canberra, which was the greatest proportion during this period of time. Darwin got the third rank with 45%. Besides, the percentage of water in Perth was nearly as high as that in Darwin. Lastly, the water levels in Melbourne was a quarter of that in Sydney and Canberra.
One year later, Canberra continued holding the first position in the water levels with almost 100%. Sydney came in the second with little change recorded compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, Perth and Melbourne underwent a sharp increase at 70% and 40% respectively. While the maximum of water proportion in Darwin hit a trough, that figure in Brisbane stayed unchanged.
