Essay topics:

You successfully passed a job interview. You are expected to start on November 15, but you will not be available on that date. Write a letter to your boss,
-Explaining your situation.
-Expressing your concern.
-Suggesting a solution.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am writing with regard to the time of beginning my job which was supposed to be on Nov. 15th, however, I cannot be present in the mentioned time, unfortunately.
Unluckily, I caught a cold yesterday, and as it is a contagious disease, the doctor advised me to stay at home so as to protect not only yourself but also your colleagues. So, I had better postpone my presence to the next week, on Monday, the 20th of November.
Frankly, causing a delay in my assignment, I am too worried about my coworkers whose tasks cannot progress until my job gets finished in the engineering department. Consequently, the hold-up will spread among all disciplines.
As a suggestion, I believe that I can start my work from home, and the assignment could be done remotely. In case of any ambiguity, an online meeting could be held in order to provide clarification. As a result, all tasks will be carried out without any postponement.
You are kindly requested to accept my apology for the inconvenience.
Yours faithfully.
