• Task 1: The diagram below shows the process of making olive oil. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram illustrates how olive oil products were manufactured from the olives.
Overall, the procedure consists of 8 primary steps, beginning with the collection of the olives on trees and ending with the distribution of olive oil products to stores.
The process initiates at the collection step, when people rake olive trees in order to let olives fall on the ground. Following this, collected olives were stored in a vat from 2 to 3 days. Next, cool water cleanse olives arranged on the conveyor belt to remove dust. The next step is the crushing, when olives are moved to the top of a round tank and then crushed by hammers. Onced crushed, olives are divided into olive stones, which are put in containers and olive paste, which go to the next step.
When olive paste is transported to the pressing and filtering area, hydraulic presses crush it and oil is filtered. The oil is stored in a tank, in which a fan rotates and removes water from oil. The separated oil is put on bottles in order to be distributed to stores.
