Advantages and disadvantages of learning a foreign language at primary school

Learning a second language is a crucial demand nowadays because of globalized world.Due to this importance of language learning , the question of the effective age of initiating to a second language comes to the point.there are two sides , ones claim that starting to learn a foreign language at early age ( in primary school ) has more advantages than learning it older age ( secondary school) and others claim that learning a foreign language at early age has more disadvantages. ın other words , coin has two sides. ın my opinion , a child should start learning a second language as early as possible to become one step ahead cope with the global and modern world.

on the one hand , There are some negative situations coming up with starting to learn a language at early age . firstly , there may be a waste of time because a kid may need to spend more time in core subjects such as maths and science. secondly ,while showing an effort for acquiring to learn a new language , some problems can come out in mother tongue.There can be a delay development of child's first language.besides of these, it can add load on kids and take their fun time.

on the other hand , a kid can reach a lot of benefits from learning at early age. the capacity of learning at early age is amazing. the ability of registering of new facts and commands is pretty high . the curiosity of learning new things , enjoying copying things, learning faster, having no fear of making mistakes are big advantages of starting earlier.also regular practice is necessary to develop fluency and accuracy and at early age one can take advantage of creating more time to develop fluency and accuracy.

to conclude , Due to large view of benefits such as becoming one step ahead , incerasing their competitiveness, having better education, better job opportunities , starting at early age has more advantages than starting at older age.
