Describe a hobby that you have
A hobby is an activity which people love to do in their pastime. Today I want to introduce a leisure pursuit which I enjoy the most. That is dancing.
Dancing has become my hobby since I was a junior high school student. The origin of having this hobby is because I joined the “hot dance club” in my school and met my first dancing teacher who is the instructor of the club. He told us the history of dancing and taught us how to dance from scratch. Furthermore, he laid the foundation of my dancing skill by teaching me how to control my body and listen to music. This is the story why I started dancing.
I usually go to a dance class on Thursday, and the teacher practices the fundamental movements with us and teaches us a new choreography every week. I am always happy to learn new dance moves. Besides, I can absorb them and improve my dance skill. And best of all, I will feel a sense of accomplishment when I successfully perform the right choreography. That makes me feel I am a good dancer and I dominate that song.
From my point of view, dancing has a magical attraction. I am always eager to dance when I listen to groovy or dance music, my body will unconsciously follow the beat. In my head, I will imagine how I will move my body to dance a song. Dancing is also an exercise because it will improve my cardiorespiratory endurance. After a long time of training, now I can constantly dance for a 3 to 5 minutes song.
There are many reasons for me to love dancing. Firstly, it gives me good physical health and a nice body shape. Besides, I am more familiar with my body, and it makes me more flexible. Secondly, I can dance in plenty of places as long as it has enough space. It does not have a strict restriction of locations. Third, I can express my feelings through my body language. Additionally, I am more confident and brave in myself, I am more willing to perform in front of people.
Those are the reasons why dancing is my hobby. I hope I can keep having a passion for dancing for a long time.
