Introduction about the beer game

The near beer game was created by a team of MIT Systems Dynamics Group teachers from the 1960s. According to Nienhaus (2008), the purpose of the game is to help players understand the fundamentals of supply chain management. Specifically, the supply chain in the game consists of four co-makers as retailers, wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers, the equivalent of four stages of the supply chain. The player's task is based on customer orders and inventory numbers to decide on the number of items to be placed next week in order to deliver enough items for the customer and save the cost to a maximum. The game starts in equilibrium, the first week, the client places 10 barrels of beer, and we have 10 barrels of inventory each week. But after the second week, customers increase orders to 15 barrels of beer and players need to bring the supply system to a balance of 15 barrels, meet the needs of customers and save costs at all. both stages of the supply chain.
The game is a powerful tool for simulating the flow and flow of goods and materials along the supply chain, thus showing the existence and basic characteristics of the Bullwhip effect.
This report is a reflection of the player after playing a few times, based on the Kolb's reflecting model.

Koska en pidä alkoholipitoisista kaloista, minun on hyvin vaikea osallistua tähän peliin tulevaisuudessa.
