A letter

Dear Rebecca,
I am writing to let you know that I am truly sorry for not attending your party last month without nothing notifying you sooner. I know it's really rude and disrespectful to you. Actually, I was really looking forward to being able to attend that party but the day before, when I got home from school unfortunately, I experienced a heavy rain. I didn't have an umbrella at the time and I had to wear it all the way home. that caused me to have a high fever for 3 days. When my health got better, I called you right away, maybe you were angry with me. Besides, can I make amends by inviting you to dinner this Saturday? Can we have your favorite spaghetti? I assure you nothing will go wrong this time.
