Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Even though some people may think the importance of sports and social activities is lower than classes and libraries, I agree with the statement that sports and social activities are as important as classes and libraries and should reveive equal, at least enough money. Sports can fit our body, benefit our health, and may even train us how to cooperate with others. We can also learned about how to get along with others by joining social activities. These activites can teach what is not taugh in the classes and libraries. What's more, they are all cost a lot of money. If the commettees of the universities or colleges want their students get full educated, they must do so.
First, sports can fit our body, benefit our health, and tell us how to cooperate with others. Taking sports means that we have to move our bodies, which is often neglected by all-day-long studying. We can only sustain our health with enough movement of our bodies. Thus if the university encourage their students to do some sports, they we gain good health by doing so. Also, since some sports like baseball, basketball, and soccer need team cooperate, students joining them will surely learn how to cooperate with others. These two advantages are not provided by classes and libraries but are crucial. That's why the universities need them.
Second, joing social activities can benefit students via training them how to get along with others. Social activities includes joining some clubs, or going out to help people. All the activities needs some plan, project, and cooperating with other menbers which are chances and work are not provided by classes and libraries. If the colleges claim that they can give good education to the students, they need these activities.
Third, all the sports and social activities need money, some may be large. Sports need some space, stadium, swimming pools. Building them sure cost a lot of money. The social activities need some funds to paying for, for example, traveling, hotel, or food. If the commettees of the universities want to encourage their students to do so at leisure time, they need to give them as much as the finacial support as the classes and libraries got.
