Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support.

Although paying attention to sports and social activities is significantly an important issue, I think spending the same amount of financial supports on both educational and extra-curricular activities in universities and colleges is completely insane! In my opinion first purpose of every university or collage is to train expertise and skillful scientists, doctors and engineers etc. and that's why most of the resources containing available financial ones should be used for the aforementioned goal and it is worth mentioning that as long as governments allocate specific supports for sport and some social activities we do not need universities to focus on these issues that much.

First aspect to point out is that, universities are established to introduce new expertise with predefined qualities to societies and countries to improve the quality of human life with developing the technology, new theories and ideas and it should be done perfectly. For reaching this huge and valuable aim which is not simply achievable universities need to provide their laboratories with expensive instruments, and their libraries with new books and publications containing the cutting edge knowledge of today's world which is changing really fast these days. All of these facilities requires high amounts of financial supports that most of universities cannot pay! Therefore, paying half of the budget of a university on sport and social activities is not practical.

Apart from the point, I made above, one cannot oversee the fact that however, putting values on sport and social activities is necessary; there are several other institutions and centers obtaining financial supports for being careful about such activities. For instance government assigns a specific amount of the country’s budget for sports, for preparing different facilities to improve people's health and to help them for having a happier and more energetic life.

In a word, owing to aforementioned reasonable causes and elucidations described in previous paragraphs, it appears to be good to draw the well-founded conclusion that receiving the equal financial support for educational activities such as libraries and classes and extra-curricular activities like sport is kind of a wrong and unacceptable decision.
