In the modern world, mobile and smartphone use has become universal in most parts of the world. Although there are clearly many advantages of this technology, there are many who believe it also brings many disadvantages. Discuss both points of view and give your opinion.
In recent years, information technology has developed significantly; therefore, mobile phones are becoming indispensable parts in our daily life. In my opinion, this development has both positive and negative influences on people.
It is true that information technohlogy provides people the convenience. The high demand of people for social connecting and applying the new technology in working can be met easily. In particular, in the Covid-19 period, the community tends to use social networks such as Facebook, Instagram with the higher frequency, so mobile phones are tools which can help them communicate with others. By using this small device, people can reduce the risk of infection and still keep contact with their social relationships without meeting face-to-face.
On the other hand, smartphones also have negative impacts on human, especially young people. Internet plays an important part in the daily life of adolescents, however, sometimes their role become outrageous. This can be seen in the case of the smartphone addiction which is the main factor causing the increase in the short-sightedness of youngsters. Not only do cellphone affect badly on the eyesight, they also reduce the learning ability of children. For those reasons, parents and schools should have the proper sollutions to improve this serious situation.
In conclusion, although mobiles and smartphones can help people improve
their life quality, they should take the negative impacts of those modern devices into consideration
