The graph illustrates the amount of weekly consumption of three different types of fast food in the UK over a period of 20 years starting from 1970.
It is clear that while the amount of Hamburger and Fish & Chips consumed weekly increased over the period, the opposite was true for Pizza. It is also noticeable that Fish & Chips was by far the most popular fast food in the UK over the period shown.
In 1970, Pizza had the highest figure for the number of weekly consumption, at 300 grams, compared to 100grams in the amount of Hamburger and Fish & Chip eaten by British per week. Over the next 15 years, there was a dramatic increase in the figure for Hamburgers and Fish & Chips consumption at 300 grams and over 100 grams respectively. In contrast, British eating Pizza per week deceased significantly to hit a lowest point of 200 grams during the same period.
In 1990, Fish & Chips went up substantially and became the most popular fast food in UK per week at 500grams, while the weekly hamburger consumption witnessed a slight raise to nearly 300 grams. At the same time, the figure for Pizza remained stable at around 200 grams.
