Dear Madam,
I am constrained to write to you for informing that my son namely Aster Jason who is a student of 9th Grade in your esteemed school, will be missing school for a day due to some unavoidable reasons. Allow me to elaborate.
As you are aware that my father-in-law has been unwell on a number of occasions in the past and some letters in the said relation have been dispatched from my end to your good office as my son had missed classes due to the said reasons. It is with a heavy heart that I am informing you about the demise of my father-in-law on 29 June 2018 in the hospital where he was being treated. He succumbed to the fatal disease during the treatment which he was receiving.
My son has been very close to his maternal grandfather and has not taken the news of his passing in a good manner. He has been hard to control as he meant the world to my son. I would not have allowed him to miss his class in the important period of the academic session; however, it is something we did not foresee as his health plummeted. I do not want to snatch the last chance of him seeing his grandfather and as such my wife and I decided to take him along with us to Cleveland to bid a final goodbye to him.
We have planned to take him out on Thursday evening and will miss his Friday class. I can assure you that we will get him extra-classes intuition to make it up for the missed lectures in the school. We shall not give you a reason to object to the said absence. I hope you can empathize with our situation and accommodate our request for absence.
Yours faithfully,
Brad Jason
