A glance at the table reveals the information of consumer expenditure on different goods in 5 countries in 2002, namely Ireland, Italy, spain, sweden and turkey.
It is evident from the information provided that the item of Food/drinks/tobacco made up the largest proportion in most of the countries, followed by Clothing/footwear and leasure/education respectively
To be more specific, Turkey and Ireland were the two nations which had by far the highest budged went on Food/drinks/tobacco, with 32,14% for the former and 28.91% for the later. The figure for this item in Spain stood at moderate level, with 18.80%, however Leasure and Education were less enjoyed in this nation with merely 1/98%
By stark contrast, accounting for 5.4% spending on Clothing and footwear, the number in Sweden was just 15.77% in Food/Drink/tobacco which lower than any other countries named. Italy shared the same pattern in term of Clothing/Foodwear when this figure was 9% of the consumer spending.
