The bar chart compares the different number of annual visitors in three museums which are located in London over a six years period.
It is immediately apparent that the total customers in these museums increased after a huge reduction, and National Gallery received the most visitors at the end of this period.
In 2007, by far more customers tended to visit Victoria and Albert Museum, at around 14 million. However, it saw a dramatic decrease from about 14 million in 2008 to 6 million in 2010, losing more than half of its visitors, before an unremarkable rise to 10 million 3 years later. In contrast, National Gallery saw a steady increase, almost tripled from 6 million in 2007 to around 17 million. As for British Museum, regardless of the fluctuation, the figure showed a stable upward, reached about 14 million.
The total number of visitors was suffered by an uncertain pattern. It has decreased noticeably from 31 million in 2007 to 22 million in 2009. While, there was a gradual upward trend over the rest period, doubled to nearly 42 million in 2012.
