You are going on a short course to a training college abroad. It is a college that you have not been to before.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer. In your letter,
• give details of your course and your arrival/departure date
• explain your accommodation needs
• ask for information about getting to and from the college

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I am a civil engineer residing in Pakistan and would be coming to the city of London to attend a training course of construction management for three months in a college 7 kilometers away from the accommodation.

I am writing to inform you that I have never been to London before and I would like you to arrange a few things that would be according to my daily needs. I would be arriving on 24th of October and will depart on 15th of January. Since I will be staying there in the peak season of chilled weather, the first necessity would be the provision of hot water in the washroom. I would also like to live in a quiet room with no sharing for the purpose of spending time and studying peacefully. Having a small kitchen in the room will also be my preference as I am used to eating home cooked food. It is also requested to send me details about the reasonable commute from the accommodation to the college.

I hope arranging all these will not be inconvenient to you. Thanking you in anticipation.

Regards

Huma
