International migration in UK
The chart below illustrates the proportion of exodus and transmigtaion among inhabitants of UK from 1999 to 2008.
In general, trends shows an upward trend with some fluctuation in some periods which are followed by increasement in consequence. Actually, the level of immigration outweighs other figures. Moreover, the level net migration is twice less in comparison with emigration and during all period it fluctuated widely.
Moving to a more detailed information, from the beginning of 1999 till 2000 immigration and emigration numbers experienced a steady rise, but then while level of immigration flatten out for a year at the approximately 500,000, 2000 saw a gradual decrease in emigration rate at about 10,000. At that time there was a marked decline in net migration, which was followed by reaching a peak at nearly 250,000.
Afterwards, during a year from the middle of 2002 to 2003 number of both exodus trends reaches a plateau. However, after that level off , immigration hits the highest point at 600,000 with some gentle fluctuations. In contrast, only in 2008 there were a sudden surge up to under 450,000, which is considered to be the peak of emigration. Subsequently, as net migration depends on these two figures, it abruptly rocketed in 2008.
