The charts below show information about the number of honey-bee colonies and honey production in the United States of America over a ten-year period.
The largest honey-bee colonies were more than five million in 1980. The second one was 1970 and 1990 at 4 and 3.5 million. In 2000, these colonies reached just under three million. But, from 2000 to 2010 honey-bee colonies had dropped one million as interestingly.
On the other hand, whilst from 1970 to 1980 dropped to 110,000 tons, and followed by 100,000 tons in 2000, honey production in 1970 and 1990 had 130,000 and 120,000 tons as the largest production. Interestingly, it was seventy-thousand tons in 2010.
During the same period between honey-bee colonies and honey production, there were same as decreased positions in 2010. However, in 1980 both had different positions, which honey-bee colonies had the largest position, but honey bee production had lower position.
