The rate of rented accommodation was significantly decreased from 76 percent in 1918 to just over 30 percent in 2001. Then there was slightly increased to 36 percent in 2011.
Turning to the owned accommodation, there was dramatically rose from 22 percent in 1918 to the highest around 69 percent in 2001. After the peaking at 69 percent the following year, owned accommodation steeply fallen to 63 percent in 2011.
In the whole, households tend to buy accommodation by owning more than renting it after 1971 in which two types of accommodation equaled.
