The graph below shows the fertility rate of women in six Gulf countries
The given bar graph compares the fertility rate of women in sex different gulf countries between 1990 and 2000.
It is clear that the fertility rate declined over the decade in all the countries. The number of births per woman in oman and saudi Arabia was higher than the other four countries.
In 1990, the average of births for each woman in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and UAE countries was between 3 to 4. On the other hand, oman women had the highest fertility rates, with 7 births per woman, closely followed by saudi arabian, with 6.7.
In 2000, although there was a slight declined in the fertility rate of a woman, oman and saudi arabian still are the countries which had the highest rates in births per woman, stood at 5.5. In the remain countries, the figures reduced to 2-3 by the year 2000.
To summarise, even though there was a decrease in the women fertility rates, oman and saudi arabian women continued to show a fairly higher fertility rate among the women in these 6 gulf countries.
