You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter
Say what the participants liked about the hotel
Explain why they were unhappy about the food
Suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in future
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you to inform about the services we received on 27th December 2018, during a daylong meeting held at your hotels’ conference area.
My team who also attended the meeting has greatly appreciated the friendliness of the staff, the promptness of the services and the pleasant environment that they have received. In addition, the decor and cleanliness of the hotel was impressive.
However, we were disappointed in the quality of the food served. The food was cold and few mentioned there was slight pungent smell in some of the items. The chicken fry that was provided with the menu was very spicy, which overpowered the actual flavors of the food.
I suggest that you have the head chef inspect the food served before being served to the customers. Though I am not a chef, I personally recommend asking the customers preference about the levels of spiciness as there would be many, like me, who has less tolerance to spicy food.
I would be interested to hear about the action you think about this. Thank you in anticipation of your consideration in this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Annie
