The chart below shows the total number of minutes(in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

The bar graph compares the number of minutes of telephone calls in three categorized types in the United Kingdom between 1995 and 2002.
Overall, it is obvious that local-fixed line was the most popular way of connection throughout the period, however, it decresed in the last years. Whereas, national and international lines had an upward trend and mobile calls grew enormously.
Numerically speaking, there was a gradual rise in the number of minutes spent via local fixed lines hitting a peak in 1999, from initial of just over 70 billion minutes to eventual of around 90 billion minutes. Then, the figures followed by a tumble to the opening features at 70 billion minutes for local- fixed lines. Regarding national and international fixed lines, there was a slight upward trend toward the end of the period, increasing by about 25 billion minutes from 35 to 65 billion minutes, between the years 1995 and 2002.
Turning to the most up-to-date lines of mobile calls, in the first 5 years the numbers escalated by five times, from nearly 2 to 10 billion minutes. But over the rest of a period there was a sharp growth, reaching its peak at approximately 45 billion minutes through mobiles phones.
