The diagram below illustrates the process of manufacturing canned fish.
Overall, there are 15 stages in the production of fish canning, starting with pre-canning and ending with the products being sent to the supermarket.
Looking at the first stages, fish is caught by boat before frozen at a temperature of -18 degrees. Following this, fish that is thawed and weighed is loaded onto the ships to convey to the shore.
Moving on to the remaining steps of the process, at the factory, fish is cut to prepare for being cooked by steam. And then, it is cooled during a time before the filleting step. These slices of filleted fish are put into cans along with brine water or adding oil. Followed sealing stage, canned fish is sterilised and cooled again to prepare for labelling the brand named Tuna Treats. Finally, the products are brought into the storage and ready transported to the shops by a truck.
