You have organized to go on holiday with your friend. However, you must change your plans.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
1. Tell them how much you are looking forward to the holiday.
2. Explain why you must change your plans.
3. Suggest alternative arrangements.
Dear Assad,
Hope this letter finds you in the pink of your health. I am writing in reference to inform you of the change in my plans for our upcoming holiday to Singapore. Let me explain further.
To elucidate, I was looking forward to the much awaited holiday to Singapore which was on my travel list additionally I had made plans for various fun activities which we would have done together on each day of our stay which would have made the travel more memorable. As you were aware that my company was going through structural changes and in this process, my reporting manager has resigned thus I have been given additional responsibility for a couple of months which will increase the workload.
Hence I would suggest planning a long vacation towards the end of June as the company would be able to find a suitable replacement by then which would reduce the work pressure.
I look forward to your response
Cheers
Ben
