The line graph illustrates the number of people who visited to the UK and from the UK to other nations from 1979 to 1999. There is also a bar graph demonstrating the most and the least visited country in 1999 by British people.
Overall, it is clear from the graph that, since the beginning of the mentioned time period a large number of UK residents traveled abroad as compared to visitors traveling to the UK. In the year 1999, France and Spain were comparatively more visited by Britisher’s than the USA and Greece. Turkey was the least visited nation by them.
On the one hand, it is clearly seen that around 12 million British citizens visited abroad in 1979 that later increased to 20 million. There was a dramatic rise in visits to abroad by UK people seen in 1999 reaching approximately 52 million in a gap of eighteen years from 1984. In the year 1979,10 million people visited the UK that slowly increased to about 29 million by the year 1999. It took a span of 20 years to observe this change.
On the other hand, the bar chart showed the most popular destination visited by the UK population were France and Spain reaching the number of 12 million and approximately 9 million respectively. Territories like USA, Greece, and Turkey had less than 5 million UK residents visiting them.
