SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND CLASSES. OTHERS BELIEVE THAT GOING TO CLASSES SHOULD BE OPTIONAL FOR STUDENTS. WHICH POINT OF VIEW DO YOU AGREE WITH?
Universities have varied policies on students’ class attendance. While some of them are very flexible about it, others are very rigid. In my view, class attendance should be compulsory rather than optional. I feel this way for two main reasons. First, it provides great atmospheres for students to socialize. Second, it disciplines students. This is why I support the idea that class attendance should be obligatory.
