Universities have varied policies on students’ class attendance. While some of them are very flexible about it, others are very rigid. In my view, class attendance should be compulsory rather than optional. I feel this way for two main reasons. First, it provides great atmospheres for students to socialize. Second, it disciplines students. This is why I support the idea that class attendance should be obligatory.
