Looking at the changes, construction account for the lowest percentage of the total contribution with 3 % in 2000 and the figure demonstrated over three-fold increase to one –tenth in 2016. As the next tiny proportion of Turkey income “ Finance, Business and other” and “ Manufacturing” registered with 5% and 8% respectively during the period of 2000 and this figure rose significantly to 8% and 12% in 2016. Furthermore, there was mentionable increase in the percentage of “ Trade , Utilities and Transportation” from 14% to 16% in the given periods.
By contrast, the most significant sector was “ Agriculture” showing almost quarter of total contribution with 24% and the ratio presented noticeable decrease by 10% between 2000 and 2016. In 2000, “ Government” and “Leisure and Hospitality” were 12% and 17% , after 16 years the figure were 9% and 14% respectively. “Healthcare and Education” remain stable, being 17% in both given years.
Overall, the smallest proportions of the contribution grew while the largest ones represented decreases in the given periods in Turkey.
