You and your friend booked theater tickets in advance. Apology to your friend as you can't make it to the theatre with him.
In the letter, you should:
• apologies
• explain what reasons you can’t make it
• give options what can be done with the ticket.
Dear Mat,
Hope you are doing well. Firstly I would like to apologize as I won’t be able to make it to the upcoming movie “Arctic” tomorrow as I have to travel for a business conference. Let me explain the situation in detail.
To elucidate a conference has come up at the last minute, therefore, I would need to travel to Japan. Although my company had decided not to participate in the event this year however later on company management decided to participate as they thought it would be ideal to launch new software products at the conference. As you are aware that I work as a product manager for new software products hence I would need to travel to support the launch of these products in the event.
Lastly, I would suggest cancelling our tickets as the tickets we bought are fully refundable without any cancellation charges. Otherwise, you can take my cousin to this movie as he too is anxiously waiting for the release of this movie.
Once again I apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Best wishes
Saud
