Dear Sir,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to ask for some time off work as I am planning to go on a short vacation with my family.
As you are aware, I have been lately very occupied with some critical projects and now most of these projects are on the closure stage, so I wanted to go on a holiday and rejuvenate my body from the stressful environment. I will also be taking my family along as lately due to professional commitments I haven't been able to spend quality time with them.
Since the projects are almost at a handover stage. I would like to use this time and would need around four days for this short trip. I plan to leave on Wednesday next week and will be back on Saturday.
While I am away, I have already given handover to my peer who has helped me on these critical projects however in the case on an emergency I am always reachable on my cell phone.
I look forward to your approval.
