The given line graph depicts the amount of goods transported in the unites kingdom between 1974 to 2002 by four different modes of transportation in million tonnes.A glance at the graph reveals that commodities transportation through road was highest in all mention ways.which fluctuate greatly through this period of thirty years.But pipeline transport observed least.
Firstly,movement of material through road remain highest through out with respect to rest of ways.In 1974 was seventy million tonnes but in following years increased more lessly till 1990.and then decreased abruptly for four years after that raised up to one hundred million tones.
However,transmission by pipeline was always least with comparison other modes.First started in 1978 and increased gradually till 2002 but reached almost twenty million tonnes.Although,transportation through rail and water started from forty million tonnes but water transport increased while through rail decreased in successive years till 1998.But rail which started from forty million end up also same quantities.On the other hand water transport increased up to twenty five million tone in thirty years.
In short movement of goods through roads remained all time favorite mode and through pipeline was least one.transport through rail and water did not increase considerable
