Figures show that in some countries, there is an ever-increasing proportion of population
aged 15 or younger. What do you think the effect of current and future in those countries?
Over the past decades, demographical change has never ceased to draw public attention and provoke debates. Although there is a dramatic increase in the number of children below 15 years old, the issue as to ever this problem are positive or negative remain controversial. In this essay, I will discuss the present and future impact of this trend.
Firstly, it is important to recognize that the higher number of children, the higher demand for schools and teachers. Some may argue that with the development of these society, educational systems could host all student in schooling age. this argument could be true to some extent. However, they should take into account the fact that in many countries, especially the developing one have not enough schools to admit all students. For example, in Vietnam, the number of young people are very high due to baby booming, while national budget could not provide free educational systems; as a result, many children who live under poverty line have to find a full-time job instead of going to school. This example indicates that the increasing of children has been putting a pressure on governments.
Secondly, it is equally to recognize that the increasing in number of the young could leading to many job problems in future. It is undeniable that the higher of population, the higher of unemployment. In these day, there are numerous applicants are in the same race for a single position, so that, finding job is becoming more difficult. Furthermore, the lack of employment could be the chef culprit for social devils, as going says “the devil find work for idle hands”. For instant, in many countries, the high rate of jobless are accountable for the increasing of criminal rate. Therefore, the governments should take jobless as a potential risk for society.
In conclusion, under no circumstance should government underestimate the ever-increasing of young people because its far-reaching influence on our life as mentioned above.
