The three pie charts illustrate altration in the amount of annual spending, which is measured in precentagw of total spending per year, during different three years (1981, 1991 and 2001), particularly in UK school.
Overall, it can be noticed that teatchers’ salaries occupied the highest porportion over the given years, while the element of furniture and equipment saw a sudden rise in spending proportion by 2001.
Initially, by 1981, there was 40% of total spending of teachers’ salaries, whereas the other 60% was divided into furniture and equipment, resources e.g. books, other workers’ salaries and insurance with 15%, 15%, 28% and 2% respectively.
By 1991, it saw a slight increase in proportion of teachers’ salaries to 50%, which then decreased to 45% by 2001. Although UK school decreased the spending proportion of furniture and equipments to 5% in 1991, but it peaked to 23% in the following two years. Moreover, the insurance spending rate, which was 3% in 1991, jumped over double reaching 8% in contrast, there was two remaining items that droped down dramatically (resources e.g. books and other worker’s salaries) from 1991 (42%) to 2001 (24%)
