The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to England who visited four different attractions in Brighton at 5 years intervals from 1908 in 2010.
Overall, the favourite attractions were the pavilion and the festival. In 1980, the figure of tourists to the pier was the lowest but in 2000 and the art gallery was the least popular.
In 1980, the figure for art gallery was to 22%, while the figure for tourists to the pavilion was roughly equal 24%. Then tourists to pavilion took off to nearly 50% in 1995. After peaking at almost 50% , the number of tourists experience a gradual fall over the period and finished the graph at 31%. Meanwhile the figure for art gallery grew sharply to 48% in 1985 and this went down exactly to 20% in 1990. The figure saw a consistent slump and hit a low point of nearly 8% in 2010.
On the other hand, the proportions of festival was higher than that of pier at any intervals.though at the period both figures were roughly equal. The number of tourists to the pier varied from 10% to 15% between 1980 and 2000, then it peak at 22% in the end of the period.
