The bar chart demonstrates the number of male and female learners who studied in six major subjects namely Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering and Mathematics at a US university in 2010.
It can be seen that except for finance, the other had the different number of male and female students. In addition, finance was also the subject that had the most learners.
Looking at the detail, the number of male learners enrolling in the two subjects (Accounting and Mathematics, with 160 students and 200 students respectively) was higher than the female ones who chose those subjects. However, the most attractive major for both sexes was Finance, made up for 230 students while the opposite trend was witnessed the figure of males and females who enrolled Engineering about 60 learners.
The figure of male students taken part in Mathematics, which stood at 200 people, was almost four times as much as that of women. Standing at 150 males, the number of them was double times of females in Econonmics. With no doubt, the total of males choosing Economics was much less than that of Mathematics, at 150 people.
