This graph illustrates the process of making electricity throughout a hydroelectric plant. As can be seen from this, the process contains both daytime operations and nighttime operations from storing water on a reservoir then sent on a national grid and pumped back to the river.
In the daytime, the dam is opened to water storage from the high-level, then flows downward to a power station, where reversible turbines are operated and transferred the water through power lines to large area nationwide. A small proportion of it is kept on a low-level for nighttime purposes.
At night, the process is flipped back as the water storage is being pumped back upward back to the river, Dam is closed at this time in order to keep the water from falling back to the morning process again.
Overall, there are 10 stages altogether from this process to create electric power for many purposes.
