You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement, and you find it very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter describe the situation explain your problems and why it is difficult to work say what kind of accommodation you would prefer.
Dear Sir,
I am writing in order to express my concerns over room sharing with my current roommate and request you to provide an alternative arrangement.
I am currently staying in a double-bedded room in ‘Madam Curie’ hostel and facing tremendous privacy issues. Firstly, the current setup of the rooms does not allow enough space for an individual and to add to this, this limited space has to be shared between two. To make matter worse, my current roommate is a party person and her big friend circle finds our room to be a picnic spot. Since, I am currently preparing for the UPSC examination, I find this constant noise and disturbances unbearable. Though I have personally put forward my grievances but that have mostly fallen upon the deaf ears.
Therefore, I request you to kindly change my accommodation to a single bedded room and update me about the increased charges. I do not wish to lose my valuable time further and request you to make the arrangements at the earliest.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully
Bhawna Sharma
