You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
explain why you want to work in the company’s head office for six months
say how your work could be done while you are away
ask for his/her help in arranging it
Dear Mr. Jones,
I am working in the position of Senior Tech Lead in your organization. I am writing to express my intention to work in the head office in Auckland, New Zealand, for the next six months.
Currently, I am doing a Project Management Professional course along with my job, and it is a compulsory requirement of class to attend a six-month training module which will be held in Auckland.
At present, I am occupied with two projects, and fortunately, one of the clients is from Auckland. Therefore, I will have a chance to meet them, and if the meeting goes well, I would be able to generate more business from them. The other project will be handled by my assistance in my absence. She has in-depth knowledge and complete grip on the overall project.
I would appreciate if you could kindly allow me to join the head office and make the necessary arrangements for a smooth transition. It will be an excellent opportunity for me to bring more business to the company. Moreover, I would be to hone my skills through the training, which will, in turn, beneficial for the company.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Manas Sahu
