The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
The depicted maps enumerate some proposed changes that will be carried out in Islip town.
Overall, the Islip town will be completely transformed with the establishment of various developmental infrastructure. However, school and park wouldn't be altered.
To initiate, the most obvious trend will be seen on the main road, as now it is running through east to west, which later will be redesigned as pedestrians road and will be planned to build the dual carriageway to divert the traffic in the town center. Moreover, the shops in the northern region of the town were demolished and will have replaced by Bus station, shopping center, Car park, as well as new housing.
Furthermore, the park in the south-east is supposed to be renovated and will be reduced in size so that new housing estate can be established. Interestingly, school, as well as shops adjacent housing, wasn't planned to be modernized.
