You are going to spend your vacation in a city in a foreign country. You have never been there before. Your cousin has a friend who lives there. Write a letter to this friend in your letter
In your letter
• Introduce Yourself
• Say why you are making this trip
• Ask some questions about the city (e.g. places to see, things to do, things to bring)
Dear Mr. Smith,
My name is Behnaz Yousefi, Mahsa's cousin. I am going to travel to France very soon for the first time in my life. When I told my cousin about the trip, he remembered you and gave me your email address to contact you and ask for some information.
After graduating from university, my parents arranged a tour around the world for me since they knew how much I enjoy traveling. To be honest, I have never been outside my country and France is the first stop of my journey. To say that I am over the moon to start my adventure from your extraordinary country is not an overstatement!
I will land in Paris, 3 days from now. Had I known about the trip, I would have done a research to find out about the dos and don’ts of the city. By departing time getting closer and closer I have gotten so nervous that cannot concentrate anymore! I would appreciate any kind of knowledge that you can spare me about where to go and what to bring to be ready.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Behnaz yousefi
